I’m an artist and designer living in Reading, recycling and reanimating the world around me.

As a kid, I worked at Portobello Rd market, getting turned on by the sounds, murals and detritus.              Saturdays spent selling eggs, taking photos and scavenging for junk.

Surrealism fed my fascination for making collages and assemblages with things I’d collect. I fell in love with the stop-motion films of Jan Švankmajer, in which he manipulates objects, food, clay and puppetry to create fantastical and chaotic scenarios. Cartoon mayhem, the absurd and the grotesque have become ever present themes in my work.

The pictures, sculpture and interactive installations I make often embrace the possibilities and uncertainty of an animated universe. Some of these pieces invite you to engage with kinetic objects, curious props, or a space where the conditions are in a constant state of flux.

Current work includes a series of digital montages, fusing imagery scanned from old colouring-in books.
